Ilala Palm Cup Basket

This a handwoven cup basket made from Ilala palm grass which is harvested from the wetlands of KZN. After harvest, the grass is sun-dried and then soaked in water to get the flexibility of weaving after weaving it is sun-dried again to get a firm and strong structure. All our dyes are naturally made and cooked with the grass fibers to get the permanent look but do wear off with outdoor exposure and old age.

The storage basket size is approximately 12cm in height, 10cm diameter

Due to placemats being handmade with natural materials, the size may differ by 2-3 centimetres in height and 1-2cm in width. The colour of products may vary.
