Modern Glass Bead Necklace – All designed and executed by myself.
This Modern Glass Bead Necklace combines a variety of different shaped and decorated beads made – using a variety of Murano glass and lampwork glass techniques. All made in my home studio. All details on the beads are done while the bead is formed in the flame.
All beads are annealed to harden the glass and make it durable. I often drop beads on a tile floor without any damage to the beads.
The total length of the bead section, including the toggle clasp is between 17 mm and 18mm.
The grey leather string is 63 cm long.
This piece can be worn as a long opera length necklace or as a wrap around choker or even bracelet.
No one piece can be made exactly the same as all beads are created free-hand.
Winter months I play with fire and glass, while in summer is for resin fun !!
