Frog on Flower Glass Pendant

All were designed and executed by myself.

The glass bead was made by me using the method of lampwork – just like the artisans from Murano – melting glass and decorating it in the flame. All beads are annealed to harden the glass and make it durable. Even though the bead is durable – it is still glass and should be treated as such.

This Frog on Flower Glass Pendant was made using a variety of  Murano glass and lampwork glass techniques. All made in my home studio. Due to the nature of glass, the whole bead is made in one sitting, taking care that the whole bead stays warm in the flame while sculpting and manipulating molten glass in the direction you want.

The chain is 58 mm in length and is sterling silver. The bail and other findings used to put this together were all sterling silver. I’ve also added two Swarovski beads to the make-up of this piece. The item is available without a chain at a discounted price on request.
