White freshwater pearls, black spinel and 14k gold-filled and sterling silver earrings.  The ear hooks and square earring fittings are sterling, and the corrugated beads and 2mm round beads are 14k gold-filled. The gorgeous main pearl is baroque.  The length of the earring from the top of the sterling silver hooks is 7cm.  These lovely dangles/chandeliers can be worn for any occasion.
Pearls are the birthstone for June.
Care of pearls
I use fresh or saltwater pearls which should be carefully treasured.  After wear, wipe them gently with a soft chamois or cloth which can be dry or slightly damp. Never use harsh or abrasive fabrics and submerse them in a water bowl. Also never use jewellery dips on pearls Рit will strip all the natural lustre and nacre from their surface!!
What is gold-filled?
Gold-filled metal is created by bonding or ‘welding’ a layer of gold to a base metal core, often copper.¬† This is achieved by using heat and pressure.¬† For an item to be classified as gold-filled, it must have a gold content of at least 1/20th of its total weight.¬† Gold-filled is hard-wearing, and if looked after it should last a lifetime.
