Lux Light Candles – Terms & Conditions

1. General

By placing an order with Lux Light Candles, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Orders & Payment

• Orders will only be processed once payment has been received and proof of payment has been provided where applicable.
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
• All products are handmade, and slight variations in colour, fragrance, finish, or appearance may occur.

3. Memorial Candle Artwork

• Customers are responsible for providing high-quality photographs and ensuring that all names, dates, and wording supplied are accurate.
• Lux Light Candles is not responsible for poor print quality resulting from low-resolution, blurry, damaged, or poor-quality images provided by the customer.
• Customers will receive a digital proof for approval before production begins.
• Each memorial candle order includes up to 3 artwork revisions at no additional charge.
• Any revisions requested after the third revision will be charged at R150 per edit.
• Once the final proof has been approved by the customer, no further changes can be made.

4. Production & Dispatch

• Production will commence only after the final proof has been approved and payment has been received.
• Orders are generally dispatched within 1–3 business days after final proof approval.
• Orders of more than 5 candles may require additional production time. Customers will be advised if extended lead times apply.

5. Shipping, Collection & Risk

• Customers may choose courier delivery or collection.
• Once an order has been handed over to the courier or collected by the customer or their representative, the risk of loss or damage passes to the customer.
• Lux Light Candles will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, delays, or breakages that occur during shipping, courier handling, or after collection.
• Customers are encouraged to inspect collected orders before leaving the collection point.

6. Candle Safety

• Candles should always be burned responsibly and according to accepted candle safety practices.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep candles away from children, pets, flammable materials, drafts, and unstable surfaces.
• Burn candles only in suitable holders or on heat-resistant surfaces.
• Lux Light Candles accepts no responsibility for any injury, fire, damage to property, or loss resulting from improper use, misuse, or failure to follow safe candle-burning practices.

7. Returns & Refunds

• As memorial candles and personalised products are custom-made, they cannot be returned or refunded unless they are defective due to a manufacturing fault.
• Any issues with an order must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or collection, accompanied by clear photographs.

8. Limitation of Liability

Lux Light Candles shall not be liable for:

• Poor print quality caused by low-quality images supplied by the customer.
• Customer spelling errors or incorrect information that was approved on the final proof.
• Damage or loss caused by courier services or after customer collection.
• Damage, injury, or loss resulting from the improper use or burning of candles.
• Delays caused by courier companies or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. Acceptance

By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
