Male Torso Sculpture MTS-1
- Once off male torso sculpture.
- Sculpted by hand from white ceramic clay.
- The sculpting process took roughly 21 hours over several days.
- Once the clay dried out over a 3 week period, the piece was fired in a kiln to a temperature of 1100 Celsius to solidify the clay body.
- The patina is a combination of shallac and coloured wax that is applied and left to dry for 7 days before polished by hand to give the final result.
- My sculptures are untitled, however I do “Title” them by number.
- This piece is #8 and is one of one, no other copies exist.
