Caring for your pearls
The pearls used here are freshwater pearls and should be carefully treasured. After wear, wipe them gently with a soft chamois or cloth that can be dry or slightly damp. Never use harsh or abrasive fabrics and never submerge them in a bowl of water, especially if knotted with silk as the silk might rot. Also never use a jewellery dip on pearls – it will strip all the natural lustre and nacre from their surface
