Exquisite white pearl earrings with pink and green tourmalines on 14k gold-filled earrings.  The size of the pearls is 14mm.  The green tourmaline tube is 8mm and the oval pink tourmaline is 6mm.  The earrings are 6.3cm from the top of the hooks.  These beauties are very subtly mismatched!
Pearls are the birthstone for June and tourmalines for October.
Care of pearls
The pearls I use are freshwater or saltwater and should be carefully treasured.  After wear, wipe them gently with a soft chamois or cloth which can be dry or slightly damp.  Never use harsh or abrasive fabrics.  Also never use jewellery dips on pearls Рit will strip all the natural lustre and nacre from their surface!!
What is gold-filled?
Gold-filled metal is created by bonding or ‘welding’ a layer of gold to a base metal core, often copper.¬† This is achieved by using heat and pressure.¬† For an item to be classified as gold-filled, it must have a gold content of at least 1/20th of its total weight.¬† Gold-filled is hard-wearing, and if looked after it should last a lifetime.
